Twitter Blue membership is no longer available for some reason

Never a boring minute in Twitterland.

As if the saga with the blue and gray checkmarks wasn’t enough – tl;dr; DR both checkmarks are gone now – looks like Twitter has made their Twitter Blue subscription unavailable.

The option, which was previously available in the sidebar for iOS users, is no longer visible (those on Android need not fret, as Twitter Blue never launched there in the first place). The Verge noticed reports from users saying the feature is not available to them, and hacker Jane Manchun Wong said the feature has been “unlaunched”.

“Checked with Twitter’s API and in-app purchases for Twitter Blue Verified are no longer listed for production,” she wrote.

Some users receive an error message when attempting to subscribe; For some (including me), the option doesn’t appear in the sidebar.

And for some Twitter Blue subscribers, the blue checkmark they paid for has disappeared,

The sudden disappearance of the new, $8 Twitter Blue, which launched earlier this week, could be some sort of error or a temporary pullback while Twitter irons out the issues. But this is another example of how chaotic things are at Twitter, where features are being introduced in a matter of days if not hours.
